Mabel is little sister to Margot Grace McMillan, who was born in September 2022.
”We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mabel August McMillan to the world (Born last night 14/8/24),” he wrote.
”It’s my destiny to be surrounded by beautiful women! A stark contrast to my high school years. I’ll share more details soon, but Bec was our warrior yet again, Mabel was deliciously chunky and chilled and now we take a collective breather before Hurricane Margot passes through to meet her baby sister later tonight.”
The post was inundated with congratulatory comments from celebrity friends and well-wishers.
”You all look remarkably fresh-faced,” wrote Sunrise co-star Edwina Bartholomew. ”Enjoy this beautiful time.”
”My heart,” added SAS Australia star Simone Holtznagel. ”Congratulations.”

Is Sam Mac married?
Not yet! But he and partner Rebecca James, a stylist, have been engaged since December 2023.
Announcing the news on Instagram, Mac shared a photo of James flashing her diamond engagement ring.
”Ladies and gentlemen, my fiancée!” he wrote at the time. ”She said yes. My secret 2023 New Year’s resolution was to propose to my darling Rebecca sometime this year. So I guess this is what you’d call a buzzer beater,” he joked, referring to the December proposal.
”She’s calm, strong and unintentionally funny. She’s super smart and a genuine knockout beauty. She makes me a better man.”
He added that he was ”in love with every version of her” and that he’d already referred to her as ”MY FIANCEE” 74 times in eight hours.
”It’s loud, proud and borderline obnoxious, but it feels right. Thank you for bringing the magic to my life, now let’s plan a wedding!”
How many children does Sam Mac have?
Sam Mac and Rebecca James are now the proud parents of two little girls – Margot, born September 2022, and Mabel, born August 2024.

When Margot was born, Mac wrote of ”a love I never knew existed … I’m overwhelmed and still processing it all right now. My girls. Wow.”
James had a long and difficult labour with Margot and Mac said he had been in awe of her warrior-like strength.
”You kept pushing and pushing and pushing. Using just our eyes to communicate, we found a language only we understood. There may have been other people, other voices in that delivery room, but gradually they faded away. It was just you and me and the unspoken connection.”
