Emma H. Andrews, age 83 died Monday, October 9, 2006 at Heritage Hospital. She was born July 4, 1923 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina.
Emma's parents were the late James and Fannie Hopkins. She is survived by two sons, Charles Lee Hopkins of Tarboro, N. C. and James Earl Andrews of Conetoe, N. C.; five daughters, Lucille LLoyd of Pinetops, N. C., Rosella Spencer of Conetoe, N. C., Emma Louise Purvis of Conetoe, N. C., Mary Francis Andrews of Tarboro, N. C. and Carolyn Andrews of the home; two sisters, Clara H. Ampley of Wilson, N. C. and Laura Hopkins of Conetoe, N. C.; twenty nine grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 1:00PM at Conetoe Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Walter Adkins Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in The Dawson Cemetery in Conetoe.
A wake will be held on Friday, October 13, 2006 from 7:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
